Google Review Cards + a Free Review Report

You already have reviews.
Do you know what they actually say?

TapLocal App℠ does two things for local businesses: a branded tap-to-review card that makes it easy for every customer to leave an honest Google review, and a plain-English report on what your existing reviews actually say — built for your specific trade, storefront or not. Cards are installed in person in Augusta, Georgia (Richmond and Columbia counties) and mailed ready to use everywhere else in the U.S.

No gating. No incentives. No guarantees. Ever — that's not a disclaimer, it's the whole design.

Exhibit A — the card, on site

What you get

A tap-to-review card, installed at your business
One tap (or a quick QR scan) takes a customer straight to your Google review page.
Every customer asked the same way
No gating, no incentives, no filtering out unhappy customers — the approach Google's review policies call for.
A free TapLocal Intelligence Report
What customers praise, what they raise as problems, and one recommended next step — built only from your own public reviews.
Set up for your trade
Storefront or service-area, the card and the report are built around how your kind of business actually gets reviewed.

// The bigger picture

Why do reviews matter this much?

Before we get into your Google listing specifically — here's why what customers say about you carries the weight it does.

People read reviews before they call

Most customers check what other people say before they ever reach out. For someone who's never used you before, a review is often the only reference they get before deciding to trust you with their money.

Recent reviews read as "still here, still good"

A steady trickle of new reviews tells a stranger you're active right now. A page frozen at reviews from years ago reads as stale — even if nothing's actually wrong.

Reviews compound, good or bad

One review barely moves anything on its own. A pattern of them, over time, becomes the reputation people actually act on — which is why consistency beats one big push.

You don't control what's said — only whether it's heard

Customers are already talking about you publicly, with or without your involvement. The only real choice is whether more of that conversation happens, honestly, where people are already looking.

// The rules

Built to follow Google's review rules

Asking customers for reviews is allowed. Paying for them, filtering out unhappy customers or pressuring people is not, under Google's policy or the FTC's review rule. TapLocal is built so you never have to wonder which side of the line you're on.

Straight to Google

A tap or scan goes directly to your Google review page. There's no rating screen first, so no one gets filtered out.

Every customer, the same way

The card goes at your point of delight: the spot every customer reaches when the visit is done, like the register, pickup or delivery. Everyone passes it, delighted or not.

Nothing in return

No discounts, raffles or freebies for reviews, ever. Keepsakes are a thank-you to every client, never tied to a review.

No stars, scripts or names

We never tell anyone to ask for a rating, specific words or a staff member's name, and never set review quotas.

// The basics

Why do I even need a Google Business Profile?

This isn't just a service-area business question — every business, storefront or not, runs into this.

It's usually the first thing people see

Before your website, your menu, or your storefront — most people see your Google listing first: hours, photos, and reviews, right when they search your name or your category nearby.

Reviews do the convincing

A real customer's review carries more weight than anything you could write about yourself. Your listing is where that trust gets built — or quietly lost.

It exists whether you claim it or not

Google shows information about your business either way. An unclaimed or neglected profile still shows up in search — just without your input, your photos, or your say in how it looks.

It works while you're not thinking about it

Unlike an ad you have to keep paying for, a well-maintained profile keeps working quietly in the background, every time someone searches.

That's the profile TapLocal builds, feeds, and reports on — whether you have a storefront or not.

// What's in the file

The Intelligence Report, honestly explained

It isn't a directory scan of whether your name and phone number match across sites. It reads your business's own public Google reviews and tells you, in plain English, what customers consistently praise and where they run into friction. Every finding traces back to a review someone actually left. Nothing is invented, nothing is dressed up.

// Common questions

Questions, answered plainly

How do I get more Google reviews?
Ask every customer the same way, and make it take seconds. That's what the card is for: one tap or scan opens your Google review page, with no app or account, now or later. Never offer rewards for reviews, ask only the happy customers, pressure anyone to review on the spot, or ask for a certain rating or wording; Google's policies don't allow any of those, and neither do we. Start with your free report →
How do TapLocal cards compare to other review solutions?
Most review tools are software you sign into to manage your Google Business Profile and reply to reviews. TapLocal puts a tap-to-review card in front of your customers, set up and tested for you, plus a free report on what your Google reviews say. See the side-by-side comparison →
What exactly is TapLocal?
A review service for local businesses: a branded NFC + QR tap-to-review card, programmed for your business and installed in person in our install area or mailed ready to use everywhere else, that makes it easy for customers to leave honest Google reviews, plus a courtesy Intelligence Report built from your own public Google reviews.
Is this a review-selling or review-gating service?
No. We never buy, gate, filter, or incentivize reviews, and we never guarantee outcomes. If that's what you're looking for, we're not it.
Do I need a storefront?
No. TapLocal works for storefront businesses and service-area businesses alike — trucks, home kitchens, and mobile trades included. See how we handle service-area businesses →
What does it cost?
Card prices depend on your trade and on whether we install the card in person or mail it ready to use, and prices are never inside the report itself. Your Intelligence Report is free. There's no cost to talk and see if it's a fit — start here.
What's actually in the Intelligence Report?
Plain-English findings built only from your own reviews — what's praised, what's a friction point, and a recommended next step, with a stated confidence line. No invented statistics. See the format →
Is TapLocal affiliated with Google?
No. Google is a trademark of Google LLC. TapLocal is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Google.
How long does installation take?
In our install area, typically a single visit: we place the card, test it against your actual Google review link before we leave, and confirm it works from a phone — not just in theory. Everywhere else, the card is mailed programmed for your business and ready to use, with setup guidance.
What happens after I get my Report?
It's yours either way, no strings attached. If you want the card, ongoing service, or the full setup, that's a separate conversation — never pitched or priced inside the report itself.
I have more than one location — does this work?
Yes. A storefront business gets its own card and its own report per location. A service-area business gets one Google profile covering its whole territory, so the card and report cover the business as a whole rather than a single address. Find your category →
Is this a long-term commitment?
No. The card is yours, and basic membership is free for life with your card. The paid monthly membership is optional, and your TapLocal account shows your reports and card activity in one place. Nothing about this is set up to trap you into anything.
How is this different from just asking customers for reviews myself?
Consistency and friction. A tap replaces an awkward verbal ask, it works whether or not staff remember to bring it up, and the report tells you not just how many reviews came in but what they actually say.
Does the tap always work?
Almost always. A handful of things are outside our control — like a phone not signed into Google, or a weak signal at an outdoor event — but those are the exception, not the norm, and none of them are dealbreakers. The card is also NFC and QR together specifically so a phone with NFC off, or an older device, still has a way in. To be clear: the goal was never to capture every single person who walks by — it's to make it effortless for the customers who already want to leave you an honest review. We'd rather tell you this upfront than oversell it.
Is TapLocal App the same company as TAPLocal USA or taplocal.shop?
No. TapLocal App℠ (taplocal.app) is a service of Taste of the Town USA, LLC. We are not affiliated with TAPLocal USA (taplocalnow.com), taplocal.shop, or any other business using a similar name. The only website for this service is taplocal.app.
