I train clients at a gym I don't own. Can I have my own reviews?
Often yes. A trainer booked by name can have their own practitioner listing, separate from the gym's. We look at your setup and walk you through what Google asks for.
I train clients in their homes. Does that change anything?
Yes. You'd be set up as a service-area business with your home address hidden, verified the way mobile businesses are.
When should clients get the card?
At a natural milestone, the same way for every client: the end of a program or a goal reached. Never as a condition of anything.
How does verification work for a personal trainer?
Google chooses the method. A studio usually verifies by video or postcard; an in-home trainer usually by a short video. A listing at a shared gym can take extra steps.
Can clients add progress photos?
They can if they choose. Never ask for photos, and never offer anything for a review or a photo.
Is there anything we should avoid asking customers?
Yes: never ask for a specific star rating or wording, never offer anything in return for a review, and never ask only the customers you think are happy. The card simply makes it easy for everyone to leave an honest review.
