TapLocal App℠
Case Type: Pet Grooming

A calm dog.
A five-word review.

Grooming reviews are really about how the pet handled it: calm, comfortable, and happy to come back. TapLocal App℠ sets up the right Google profile for a mobile van or a grooming shop, places an NFC + QR Google review card at pickup, and hands you a report on what owners already say.

No gating. No incentives. No guarantees. Ever.

// Why grooming is a special case

The pet is the review

How the pet reacted is the real subject

A calm, comfortable pet during the groom is what owners write about most.

Before-and-after photos carry weight

Owners love sharing the result, and a photo review convinces the next owner faster than words.

Mobile van or shop: different setups

A mobile groomer is a service-area business; a shop is a storefront. We set up the one that matches how you work.

Verification depends on your setup

Google chooses how you verify: usually a short video for a mobile groomer, a video or postcard for a shop.

// Process

Four steps, no theatrics

Already have a service-area Google profile claimed? Start at Install.

Set Up

We build your service-area profile, hide your base address, define where you actually work, and walk you through Google's verification (usually a short video).

Install

A branded NFC + QR card handed over at pickup with the bandana or bow, on the van door, at the shop counter, or printed on your receipt. Tap or scan, straight to your Google review page.

Collect

Customers leave reviews the normal way, at their own pace — one tap and two clicks. No scripted asks, and no discounts, freebies or rewards for reviews — of any rating.

Learn

You get a TapLocal Intelligence Report™, built only from your own public reviews — what's working, what to fix first.

// Pet Grooming questions

Pet Groomers: questions, answered plainly

We groom a lot of anxious pets. Will that show up in reviews?
Often, and in a good way. Owners of nervous pets tend to write detailed reviews when a groomer is patient. Your report shows what they praise.
Can reviews name individual groomers?
Owners can mention whoever they like. If names come up, your report shows the pattern. You can't ask owners to name anyone.
We have a van and a shop. Which profile do we need?
It depends on where customers are served. We look at how you actually work and set up the profile Google's rules call for.
How does verification work for a groomer?
Google chooses the method. A mobile groomer usually verifies with a short video of the van; a shop verifies like any storefront, often by video or postcard.
How is a mobile groomer's coverage area defined?
You tell us the cities, counties or ZIP codes you actually serve, and we set your Google service area to match.
Is there anything we should avoid asking customers?
Yes: never ask for a specific star rating or wording, never offer anything in return for a review, and never ask only the customers you think are happy. The card simply makes it easy for everyone to leave an honest review.
