TapLocal App℠
Case Type: Photography

The gallery arrives.
The review follows.

Photography reviews are tied to a specific session, and they often mention how long the final gallery took as much as the photos themselves. TapLocal App℠ sets up the right Google profile for a studio or an on-location photographer, puts an NFC + QR Google review card with the gallery delivery, and hands you a report on what clients already say.

No gating. No incentives. No guarantees. Ever.

// Why photography is a special case

Reviewed when the photos land

Delivery time is a recurring theme

How long the final gallery took shows up in reviews almost as often as the photos' quality.

Each kind of session reviews differently

Weddings, family sessions and headshots each bring their own review patterns.

The gallery is the moment

Clients review when they see the finished photos, not at the shoot. Delivery is the natural time for the card.

Studio or on location

Clients who come to a studio make it a storefront; if you shoot on location, you're a service-area business with a hidden address. Google chooses how you verify.

// Process

Four steps, no theatrics

Already have a service-area Google profile claimed? Start at Install.

Set Up

We build your service-area profile, hide your base address, define where you actually work, and walk you through Google's verification (usually a short video).

Install

A branded NFC + QR card tucked in with print orders or USB packaging, a QR on your gallery's printed thank-you note, or on your studio's front desk. Tap or scan, straight to your Google review page.

Collect

Customers leave reviews the normal way, at their own pace — one tap and two clicks. No scripted asks, and no discounts, freebies or rewards for reviews — of any rating.

Learn

You get a TapLocal Intelligence Report™, built only from your own public reviews — what's working, what to fix first.

// Photography questions

Photographers: questions, answered plainly

Should the card come at the session or with the gallery?
With the gallery. Clients review when they see the finished photos, so delivery is the natural moment.
Wedding clients often review months later. Is that a problem?
Not at all. The card stays with the prints or album, so couples can review whenever they're ready.
We shoot on location but have a small studio. Which profile do we need?
It depends on whether clients come to you. We look at how you actually work and set up the profile Google's rules call for.
How does verification work for a photographer?
Google chooses the method. An on-location photographer usually verifies with a short video; a studio verifies like any storefront, often by video or postcard.
Can reviews mention a second shooter or assistant?
Clients can mention whoever they like. If names come up, your report shows the pattern.
Is there anything we should avoid asking customers?
Yes: never ask for a specific star rating or wording, never offer anything in return for a review, and never ask only the customers you think are happy. The card simply makes it easy for everyone to leave an honest review.
