TapLocal App℠
Case Type: Tattoo

Healed and happy.
Reviewed by name.

Tattoo reviews are about a specific artist, and clients love sharing photos of healed work. TapLocal App℠ sets up or cleans up your shop's Google profile (or your own artist listing), places an NFC + QR Google review card with the aftercare instructions, and hands you a report on what clients already say.

No gating. No incentives. No guarantees. Ever.

// Why tattooing is a special case

The artist is the brand

Reviews follow the artist

Clients review the artist by name, and the next client often chooses an artist from those reviews.

Healed photos make the case

A photo of a healed tattoo convinces the next client more than any caption.

Aftercare is part of the experience

Clear aftercare guidance gets mentioned almost as often as the tattoo itself.

Shop or artist listing

A shop verifies like any storefront; an artist booked by name can have their own listing. Google chooses how you verify, and a shared shop can take extra steps.

Four steps, no theatrics

Set Up

We build or clean up the right profile, the practice's or your own practitioner listing, and walk you through Google's verification. A shared address can take extra steps.

Install

A branded NFC + QR card on the aftercare sheet or bag, at the front counter, or on the artist's station. Tap or scan, straight to your Google review page.

Collect

Customers leave reviews the normal way, at their own pace — one tap and two clicks. No scripted asks, and no discounts, freebies or rewards for reviews — of any rating.

Learn

You get a TapLocal Intelligence Report™, built only from your own public reviews — what's working, what to fix first.

// Tattoo questions

Tattoo Artists: questions, answered plainly

Should clients review right away or after it heals?
Whenever they choose. Putting the card with the aftercare sheet means it's there in a few weeks, when they can add a photo of the healed work.
Can each artist in our shop have their own reviews?
Often yes. Artists booked by name can have their own practitioner listing alongside the shop's. We look at your setup and recommend the right one.
Can we ask clients to post a photo?
You can mention that photos are welcome, as long as you say it to everyone and don't ask for a positive review.
How does verification work for a tattoo shop?
Standard storefront verification: Google confirms your real address, usually with a short video or a mailed postcard. Separate artist listings in a shared shop can take extra steps.
We host guest artists. Does that complicate things?
Clients can mention a guest artist in a review of the shop. A guest artist's own listing depends on where they're based; we can advise.
Is there anything we should avoid asking customers?
Yes: never ask for a specific star rating or wording, never offer anything in return for a review, and never ask only the customers you think are happy. The card simply makes it easy for everyone to leave an honest review.
