TapLocal App℠
Case Type: Accounting & Tax Preparation

Filed on time.
Explained in plain English.

Accounting and tax reviews come in waves after filing season, and they praise the same things: deadlines met, questions answered quickly, and numbers explained without jargon. TapLocal App℠ sets up or cleans up your firm's Google profile (or a preparer's own listing), places an NFC + QR Google review card at the desk and with the finished return, and hands you a report on what clients already say.

No gating. No incentives. No guarantees. Ever.

Exhibit A — the card, with the finished return
// Why accounting is a special case

A busy season, then quiet

Reviews follow the season

Most clients come in during filing season, so reviews tend to cluster in the weeks after the deadline.

Calm under deadline

Clients praise a preparer who stayed calm, met the deadline and answered questions without making them feel rushed.

Discretion in your replies

Replies must never mention a client's return, refund, business or finances, even if they did. Member reports include reply drafts written that way.

Firm or preparer listing

A firm verifies like any office; a preparer clients ask for by name may also have their own listing. Google chooses how you verify, and a shared office can take extra steps.

// Accounting & Tax questions

Accountants & Tax Preparers: questions, answered plainly

Should we only ask during tax season?
Ask whenever the work is finished: when a return is filed, books are closed, or a notice is resolved. Year-round clients can get the card after any finished piece of work.
How do we reply without revealing anything about a client?
Keep replies general: thank the reviewer and invite them to call. Never mention their return, refund, business or finances, even if they did. Member reports include reply drafts written that way.
Can each preparer or CPA have their own listing?
In many cases Google allows individual practitioners their own profile alongside the firm's. We look at how your firm works and recommend the right setup.
How does verification work for an accounting firm?
Like any office: Google chooses the method, often a short video or a mailed postcard to your office address. Seasonal or shared offices can take extra steps.
Will the report show what clients praise or complain about?
Yes. If reviews keep mentioning turnaround time, communication or fees, the report shows those patterns.
Is there anything we should avoid asking customers?
Yes: never ask for a specific star rating or wording, never offer anything in return for a review, and never ask only the customers you think are happy. The card simply makes it easy for everyone to leave an honest review.
