Guests already review us on booking sites. Why ask for Google reviews?
Those reviews stay on the booking sites. Google shows them separately from reviews on your own Google profile, which is what many travelers see first when they search your name.
Can we put a card in every room?
Yes. A small card by the TV or with the key packet works well, and so does the front desk at checkout.
Can we include the link in our checkout email?
Yes. Send it to every guest the same way, and never ask only the guests you think were happy.
How does verification work for a hotel?
Standard storefront verification: Google confirms your real address, usually with a short video or a mailed postcard.
Will the report show complaints from guests?
If Google reviews mention cleanliness, noise, check-in or anything else, yes. The report shows complaints as plainly as praise.
Is there anything we should avoid asking customers?
Yes: never ask for a specific star rating or wording, never offer anything in return for a review, and never ask only the customers you think are happy. The card simply makes it easy for everyone to leave an honest review.
