Should the card go at the register or with the delivery?
Both work. A card at the register for take-home purchases, and a thank-you greeting card with every delivery, so every customer gets the same invitation.
What about deliveries that went wrong?
They get the same greeting card. Never skip customers you think are unhappy; Google's policy doesn't allow asking only the happy ones. Your report shows delivery problems plainly, so you can fix them.
Can our delivery crew ask customers to review them?
They can leave the greeting card. They shouldn't ask for a rating, specific wording or their names; Google's policy doesn't allow requesting specific content.
How does verification work for a furniture store?
Standard storefront verification: Google confirms your real address, usually with a short video or a mailed postcard.
We have a showroom and a separate warehouse. Two profiles?
Only the location customers visit gets a profile. A warehouse customers never visit doesn't need one.
Is there anything we should avoid asking customers?
Yes: never ask for a specific star rating or wording, never offer anything in return for a review, and never ask only the customers you think are happy. The card simply makes it easy for everyone to leave an honest review.
Is “Furniture store” the right Google category for me?
For most businesses like yours, yes. “Furniture store” is the exact name in Google's category list, and it should be your primary category. Choose only categories that describe what you actually do. When we set up or clean up your profile, we check each one in Google's own category picker.
