TapLocal App℠
Case Type: Bar & Nightlife

Good pours. Good people.
Good night.

Bar reviews are about the bartenders, the crowd and the feeling of the place, and they're often written the next day. TapLocal App℠ sets up or cleans up your Google profile, places an NFC + QR Google review card on the bar and with the check, and hands you a report on what customers already say.

No gating. No incentives. No guarantees. Ever.

Exhibit A — the card, with the check
// Why bars are a special case

The vibe is the product

Bartenders make the review

Guests write about a bartender who remembered their drink or made them feel welcome. That's what keeps a neighborhood bar busy.

Reviews come the next day

Few people review mid-evening. A card with the check, or a QR code they can find again, helps them do it later.

Door, wait and noise get mentioned

Complaints often involve the door staff, slow service on a busy night or noise. Your report shows what keeps coming up.

Standard storefront verification

A real address; Google chooses the method, often a short video or a mailed postcard.

// Bar questions

Bars & Nightlife: questions, answered plainly

Can we offer a free drink or a shot for a review?
No. Offering anything in return for a review breaks Google's rules and can get reviews removed. The card simply makes it easy to leave an honest review.
Where should the card go in a bar?
With the check is the best moment, since the night is wrapping up. A card on the bar top and a sticker by the exit catch the rest.
We host live music and trivia. Do those nights get reviewed?
Often, yes. If reviews mention your events, the report shows which ones people talk about.
How does verification work for a bar?
Standard storefront verification: Google confirms your real address, usually with a short video or a mailed postcard.
Can reviews mention our bartenders by name?
Customers can mention whoever they like. If names come up, the report shows the pattern. You can't ask guests to name anyone.
Is there anything we should avoid asking customers?
Yes: never ask for a specific star rating or wording, never offer anything in return for a review, and never ask only the customers you think are happy. The card simply makes it easy for everyone to leave an honest review.
