When should brides get the card?
At gown pickup, every bride, the same way. Many review after the wedding; the greeting card makes that easy whenever they're ready.
Should the bridesmaids and mothers get it too?
Anyone who bought from you can get one. Hand it out the same way to everyone, never only to the people who seem happiest.
Can we ask brides to post wedding photos with their review?
No. Google's policy doesn't allow asking for specific content in a review, and that includes photos, a rating or particular wording. Many brides add photos on their own.
How does verification work for a bridal shop?
Standard storefront verification: Google confirms your real address, usually with a short video or a mailed postcard.
We're appointment-only. Does that change the profile?
No. You still have a storefront customers visit; show your appointment hours and how to book.
Is there anything we should avoid asking customers?
Yes: never ask for a specific star rating or wording, never offer anything in return for a review, and never ask only the customers you think are happy. The card simply makes it easy for everyone to leave an honest review.
Is “Bridal shop” the right Google category for me?
For most businesses like yours, yes. “Bridal shop” is the exact name in Google's category list, and it should be your primary category. Choose only categories that describe what you actually do. When we set up or clean up your profile, we check each one in Google's own category picker.
